Bonjour!

Cher lecteurs, dear readers,

We hope you've enjoyed visiting Chateau Bellenaus' new website, and that we've succeeded in giving you a taste of the accommodation options on offer, the gardens and facilities, in addition to a flavour of life on the stunning unspoilt peninsula of La Manche.

Bellenau is a truely versatile venue for your self-catering holiday; whether you  are looking for a cosy off-peak romantic break in our little cottage "La Fosse", or a family summer holiday where the kids will get a chance to mingle with others in a wonderful "Swallows and Amazons" environment.  Providing a reasonably priced self-catering holiday solution for your particular group will be our pleasure.

The gite accommodation works very well for larger group vacations also, sleeping up to 60, or 70 inlcuding our new yurts arriving soon (see below.) Ask us for off-peak multiple booking rates or for a tailor made quote. We can even arrange on site catering and exclusive use of our communal barn for courses and conferences.

WATCH THIS SPACE!
NEW! Eco-Holiday Glamping project starting april 2012.
We are delighted to announce the addition of two beautiful 30m2 yurts to our accommodation. Currently being built in Mongolia by traditional craftsmen and women, these fantastically designed nomadic dwellings will be nestled within two distinct clearings amongst a wild cherry plantation away form the other buildings in the Chateau grounds.
"Aigle" ("Eagle") will be decorated using ancient Mongolian bird designs, with a cosy ethnic interior.
"Cigogne" ("Stork") will be a tranquil, neutral toned space, with an eco-chic interior.
Both yurts will sleep up to 5 containing a double bed and two day beds (one with an additional pull out drawer bed,) for use as sofas or singles.
Other furnishings will include clothes storage, a dining table and chairs.
A compost toilet is close by, with two further toilets and a large family sized shower room available in the communal barn.
A cooking and washing up area will be shared by the two yurts.
Each yurt will have it's own picnic table and BBQ/fire pit, and solar lighting.

LOW IMPACT HOLIDAY- For every booking we receive a tree will be planted in the Wild Cherry field. Your boooking will contribute to the creation of a new arboretum at Chateau Bellenau.

Stumbled on your website while looking for the beautiful garden we visited in Normandy last year - it was you! We bought a pot of tiger grass which is now flourishing here in Surrey. We are familiar with your beautiful area and would thoroughly recommend a stay - plenty to do, rain or shine. Hope to sample your accommodations sometime, too - they look and sound wonderful. Best wishes for the season 2012

Your place is the only one in the Cotentin area where we were able match our need to sleep nine adults and five children. We found your website helpful and booking was easy. We're now looking forward to spending a week at Château Bellenau in August.

We spent a week and stayed at the Chene gite. We were lucky enough to be there for the annual easter egg hunt which was a bonus. It was a great holiday the gite and the chateau grounds were wonderful. A special mention must be made of Lucy and Richard who manage the chateau complex they were very kind and helpful and really made us feel welcome. We would thoroughly recommend a holiday here not only is it such a nice and interesting place but it is a great base to explore the region. We will defintely be back
